Trend analysis of noncommunicable diseases and their risk factors in Afghanistan

Background Afghanistan is suffering from 40-year chronic conflicts, displacement, and demolition of its infrastructure. mortality survey 2010 shows nearly 46% all deaths in the country were attributed to noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). In this study, we aimed understand differences premature death due NCDs by sex trend for next 8 years. Methods We applied analysis using secondary data Institute Health Metrics Evaluation, Global Burden Diseases 2019. The information on NCD mortality, risk factors, percent total years lived with disability (YLDs) attribution each factor extracted database 2008 investigated 2019 mentioned factors then forecast their trends until 2030. Results Our study that has had an increasing number (50% both sexes) will reach 54% Currently, half are Afghanistan. rate prevalence higher among women. More than 70% YLDs be till Five including high systolic blood pressure (28.3%), body mass index (23.4%), glucose (20.6%), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (16.3%), smoking (12.3%) have highest contribution 2030, respectively. Conclusions general, our indicates without any specific intervention address Afghanistan, not only Sustainable Development Goal target met, but increase almost prevalence, as well seen
